In the Flesh: Porsche Museum Stuttgart

If there’s one thing we like (almost) as much as watches, it’s cars. The history, design, performance, and soul of Porsche is particularly near and dear to our hearts. Wound For Life had the opportunity to go to the Porsche Museum over the weekend, located in the Zuffenhausen area of Stuttgart, Germany. Originally opened in 1976, the museum was quite small and the exhibits had to be rotated through. Mercedes-Benz opened their museum in 2006, and not to be outdone, Porsche started the massive project to build their new modern museum. The one we have now was opened in 2009. It has over 80 vehicles and many more smaller exhibits. As before, the cars and exhibits are periodically rotated. It is also the site for special exhibits, club get-togethers, and historical events. So now for your viewing pleasure and something a little different than the norm, here’s our photographic chronicle of the trip.
